Frances May Reinhold

Frances May was born September 6, 1926, at the Sebewaing farm home of her late parents, Della M. (Beitz) Koch and Frank A. Koch, and passed away March 12, 2016 at the age of 89.

She attended St. Peters Lutheran School in Bach and graduated from Sebewaing High School in 1944. Fran married Henry E. Predmore on December 23, 1948 and he passed away suddenly July 18, 1949. She later married Arthur G. Reinhold on October 10, 1953.

Through the years Fran was employed by numerous businesses including Kundinger and Rievert, Sebewaing Elevator, Best Tackle, Bumhoffer Gremel Ford, Luke's Market, and Acme Roll Forming. She served as a volunteer EMT for Sebewaing Ambulance for eight years, and was a member of New Salem Lutheran Church. Fran enjoyed her children, grandchildren, fishing, needlework, and playing cards.

Surviving are one daughter, Tanya Blackmer of Atlanta, MI, and two sons, Arthur J. Reinhold of Rochester Hills, MI and James A. Reinhold of Ludington, MI. Ten grandchildren: Jeffrey and Steve Kunitzer, Pam Carrne, Martin Blackmer, and Deanna Fuller, and Joy Oakes, Benjamin, Michael, Nathaniel, and Carl Reinhold. Twelve great grandchildren: John and Jeremy Fuller, Joeran, Katherine, and Stephanie Blackmer, Ella and Mira Kunitzer, Jackson and Ethan Carrne, and Brooklyn, Madilyn, and Henrik Reinhold. Fran was looking forward to welcoming her thirteenth great-grandchild in August.

Fran was preceded in death by her brother Howard and sister Marjorie, brother-in-law Warren Liken, son-in-law Joe Blackmer and grandchild Cindy Blackmer.

A private funeral service took place at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing followed by a burial service at Silverlawn Cemetery in Sebewaing, MI on March 15, 2016.

Memorial donations may be given to New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing, MI.
