Frances Klein Souva, 91, of Caseville, died Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Home Sweet Home in Pigeon while under hospice care.
Fran was born December 2, 1919 in Port Crescent to the late Frank and Louise (Smith) Clancy. Her family moved to Ohio when she was young, and Fran returned to Michigan in 1940. On October 11, 1947 she married Walter Klein; he preceded her in death on September 29, 1972. She married Ray Souva on July 4, 1979; he preceded her in death on March 25, 1993.
She was a life member of the Clawson Order of the Eastern Star, charter member of the Caseville Eagles Auxiliary and a member of the Caseville American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son Vernon (Barb) Klein and daughter Beverly (Leonard) Souva both of Caseville; step-children Dan (Caroline) Souva of Port Austin, Robert (Linda) Souva of Kinde and Rose Miller of Durand; granddaughters Kim, and Krista; step-grandchildren Ron, Nancy, Tim, Amanda, Mary, Mike, David, Daniel, Carrie and Brenda; great-grandchildren Andy, Brandon, Jason, Korey, Nicole and Ashley; sister Grace (Joe) Cilc of Caseville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Ellen Thayer, granddaughter Marie Siporin, and step-daughter Mary Antosezewski.
There will be a memorial gathering and luncheon at 1:00 pm Sunday, January 16th at the Caseville Eagles Hall, 7017 East Park Street.
Memorials may be made to Home Sweet Home or St. John Episcopal Church.
