Frank Matthew Colagiovanni

Frank M. Colagiovanni, 64, of Caseville, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City.

Frank was born October 4, 1950 in Detroit to the late Joseph Anthony and Angeline Josephine (Cardinale) Colagiovanni. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1968 and the University of Detroit in 1973 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. He married Judy Makmann on May 19, 1973 at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Detroit.

He lived in Romeo and was employed as an engineer with Haden in Auburn Hills before moving to Caseville in 1998. He was the former owner of Cola’s Cooler in Port Austin and the current owner of 4 Jet’s Pizza locations in Michigan and Indiana. He was a member and former trustee of the Caseville Eagles. Frank took great pride in being able to form an idea in his mind and then see it through to design, building and completion.

He is survived by his wife Judy; children Jessica (Andrew) Skelton of Brighton, Chrissy (Johnny) Szymanski of Ubly and Frank III of Caseville; grandchildren Annabelle, Erin, Katherine and Mikeal; and siblings Vince (Karen) of Macomb, Joseph (Dana) of Warren, Ann (Heins) of Georgia and Patricia (Jim) Zabawski of Sterling Heights.

A funeral mass will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 10th at St. Roch-OLPH Catholic Church in Caseville with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation will be 2-8 pm Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville. There will be an Eagle’s Ritual at 5pm Friday and a scripture service at 7:30. He will lie in-state on hour prior to mass in church on Saturday.
