"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to pass on; A time to plant, and a time to harvest…A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance." Ecclesiastes 3:1, 2, 4.
Frank G. Enderle, 76, died Thursday, December 3rd, 2020 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe, MI. Frank was born in Cass City, MI in 1944 and raised on the inter-generational Enderle Farm in Owendale, MI. He declared proudly that he was raised during the historical early rock-and-roll 1950's "sock-hop," which he reflected as the "greatest era in history," and thusly, was a devout Beach Boys follower. Frank got really fired up when it came to road trips, growing up his parents took him and his 3 sisters to new states every summer, and later on in life, he took his 2 daughters across many beautiful states. He was the only son to Elizabeth and Frank Enderle, and took over the farm in 1976 in lieu of being drafted into Vietnam War. Frank remodeled the family dairy farm, instituting the newest milking technology of his time, and he was proud of its efficiency. Although he worked at Pontiac Motor Division in Pontiac for a time in his youth and lived in Bay City for many years after retirement, his heart was always found with the country lifestyle: farming, relaxing drives, crop-gazing, and weather-watching. He was an Owendale-Gagetown H.S. Bulldog for life and a strong athlete on the track. When his daughters were active in sports at the same H.S., he rarely missed any game, any season. Similarly, he was a diehard fan of the Lions, Tigers, and Pistons. Frank had a variety of seasons throughout his life, but in the wise years, he enjoyed the simple pleasures and flow of life. His greatest genius was found to be his positive mindset always holding the belief that when he looked in his mirror, he was indeed, "looking at the problem;" taking full responsibility for his life and not blaming others. Model train-building (Lionel) was one delightful passion of Frank's, as well as, going to sunny beaches, making his special stovetop popcorn, dancing, telling jokes and stories, being punctual, napping under shade trees, watching movies, cooking, dancing, and dressing classy for date nights. A remarkable part of his life was that he quit both drinking and smoking cold turkey and never touched either again. He was decidedly sober for approx. 30 years. One of the greatest determinants of one's happiness is the quality of their relationships; Frank held onto his one best friend from grade school all the way through till their last visit 5 days before he passed. His best friend sat outside the nursing home window for over an hour in the cold, celebrating an entire life of memories together, unconditional love and commitment of this quality is very rare and deeply classy.
Frank is survived by his sisters Nancy Kukulka, of Westland; and Joyce Enderle of Sterling Heights; daughters Dawn Enderle of Ann Arbor; and Laura (Jeremy) Krzeszewski of Kinde; 8 grandchildren, and lifetime friend Jimmy (Linda) Roe of Owendale.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Philis, and sister Helen Myers.
Cremation will take place, and a memorial celebration of his life will be held in June 2021 with one of his favorite meals, BBQ chicken, baked beans, and potato salad. Details will be shared at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Dear Beloveds,
It is with great joy that we announce our plans to congregate and celebrate the passing of our rockstar Father, Frank Enderle. We will join in a service together on June 5th, 2021 at 11am at St. Agatha's Catholic Church in Gagetown, MI (4618 South St. Gagetown, 48735). It would mean so much to us if you would join us to help heal our hearts within community. After the indoor church service, we will walk directly outside to the Enderle family grave site, adjacent to the church, to bury Frank's ashes as he had wished.Following the service and burial, all are invited to drive a couple minutes down the hill to the Gagetown park pavilion, which is located just West of town behind the Owen-Gage softball field and dugouts. Turn in on the left side of the road as you head West, the pavilion is set back away from the road in a silent setting. We are thrilled to be offering a catered meal to remember our Frank, and so it would be extremely helpful to us if you could respond with a headcount for your party. Please reply to this email or text me at 831-869-1484. THANK YOU!Masks are required for the duration of the service and burial, and at the pavilion, we would ask you to just be respectful and considerate of others as it relates to COVID. We will do our best to manage an outdoor eating environment where guests are spread out. This may mean that some of you will eat outside of the shaded pavilion. The shaded tables will be prioritized for our elders and others in need. For those of you who are unable to attend our memorial for Frank, or would just like to offer a loving gift, please consider a donation towards the college fund for Frank's grandchildren by simply contacting Dawn or Laura directly. We thank you, we appreciate you, we love you. Please forward this to your siblings, neighbors, and friends who knew Frank.🤩🥰With Gratitude,Dawn Enderle (and Laura)dawn.bussey@yahoo.com
