Frank Kirkpatrick

Frank Kirkpatrick, age 87, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, following a lingering illness. Frank was born August 8, 1920 in Columbia Township, near Unionville, the son of the late Joseph & Charlotte (Fader) Kirkpatrick and was raised in Elmwood Township on the family farm. He was united in marriage to the former Ilene (Forshee) Sayers on November 1, 1975 in Colling, Michigan. Frank was employed at the Caro Regional Center for nineteen years, retiring in 1985. He attended the Caro United Methodist Church and was a member of S.E.R.A. Club and the R.C.R.A. Club. Frank enjoyed gardening, yard work, making wind chimes and visiting with his family and friends. In addition to his wife of over thirty-one years, Frank is survived by three children, Marlene Kirkpatrick, Kenneth Kirkpatrick, Judy Dillon (LeRoy) Hayward all of Caro; two step-children, Gary Sayers and Diane Sayers; three grandchildren, Hannah and Nathan Dillon and Tanya Castro, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by all five of his siblings, Pauline, Maude, Mike and Ezra Kirkpatrick and Della Gedro.
