Frank Taylor

Frank L. Taylor, age 93 years, of Caro, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Fisher Convalescent Home in Mayville. He was born on February 18, 1913 in Arbela Township and was a lifelong resident of Tuscola County.. He was a Vassar High School graduate. Frank Taylor married the former Mable Reed in Vassar, and she preceded him in death on October 13, 2001. Frank spent his entire working career in retail hardware sales and was noted for his pleasing personality and product knowledge. He was the personification of the “helpful hardware man”. Frank was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Caro. He loved the out-of-doors, hunting and fishing and was an active member of the Tuscola Conservation Club.. He is survived by one of his twin daughters, June Taylor of Caro; a son-in-law, Ronald Kennedy of Mayville; his sister, Ruth Topham of Vassar; a sister-in-law, Ruth Taylor of Silverwood; and several nieces and nephews.. In addition to his wife, Mable, he was preceded in death by a twin daughter, Jane Grace Kennedy, as well as the remainder of his siblings.. The funeral will be held at the First Baptist Church of Caro on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ronald C. Wigand officiating. . Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery. . Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. . Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Caro .
