Franklin Joseph Briesmeister

Franklin Joseph Briesmeister, 75, of Caseville, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe.

Frank was born March 20, 1941 in Warren to the late William and Catherine (Guster) Briesmeister. He graduated from St. Clement High School, Centerline in 1959. On September 14, 1963 he married Mariane Sheyachich in Mt. Clemens. He moved to Caseville in 1968 and operated Frank’s Barber Shop until retiring in 1999. He was a member of the NRA, Ducks Unlimited, Retirement Club and the Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed teaching his son to hunt and fish, and his dog Beadie.

He is survived by his wife Mariane; son Joey (Beth) of Caseville and daughters Kathy (Bob) Zwiers of Zeeland and SanDee Saari of Saginaw; grandchildren Jake, Josh, Allison, Zack, Matthew, Michael and Madison; and great-granddaughter Alyanna. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister William Jr and Mary Lou Briesmeister.

A memorial mass will be at 11:00 am Monday, May 23rd at St. Roch OLPH Catholic Church, Caseville, with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.
