Fraser Vargo

Fraser Lee Vargo, age 59, of Caro, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw. He was born on September 1, 1949 in Caro to the late Julius and Marion (Day) Vargo. Fraser was a 1968 graduate of Caro High School. He married the former Wanda Habdas on July 25, 1970 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro. Fraser had been employed in the laundry department at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility until his retirement. He was an avid bingo and card player, and an attendee and worker at the Tuscola County Fair. Fraser was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a former member of the Tuscola County CBers. He is survived by his wife, Wanda; his children; Allen Vargo and Lisa Lewicki of Caro, Andrew Vargo of Caro, Anthony Vargo of Caro, Alex Vargo and Kyrsti Doktor of Caro; three grandchildren, Tabitha, Dalion and Cassandra Vargo; his siblings, Mary (Frank) Summerer of Port Huron, Donald Vargo, Raymond (Michelle) Vargo of Caro, Stanley (Tammy) Vargo of Clarkston, Washington, and Elizabeth Vargo and Larry Lang of Cass City; sisters-in-law, Betty Vargo of Port Huron and Jenny Vargo of Caro; his stepmother, Miriam Vargo of Caro; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant children, Leland and Theresa; and two brothers, Jack and David Vargo. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk officiating. Rite of Committal will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Vigil for the deceased will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Fraser Vargo family discretionary fund, c/o Wanda Vargo.
