Fred Hyde

Fred Hyde, age 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, September 21, 2008 at his home in Saginaw. Fred was born May 13, 1946 in Caro, the son of the late James C. Arline J. (Spaulding) Hyde and graduated with the Caro High School Class of 1964. He was united in marriage to the former Sharon Y. Chisholm on August 26, 1967 in Cass City and the couple was blessed with two children. Fred was employed at Burton-Moore Ford in the sales department for more than fifteen years, retiring in 1988. After leaving Caro, he continued in auto sales at Lee Ford in Saginaw and most recently at Rick Ford in Hemlock. Fred was a former member of the Tuscola County Gun Club and in his younger years enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. In more recent years, Fred became an avid Harley-Davidson motorcyclist. Surviving are two children and their spouses, Stephan James Abbie Wakelin Hyde of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kristi Marie Darrin Brandon of Holly Springs, North Carolina; five grandchildren; three brothers, one sister and their spouses, Jeff Debbie Hyde of West Bloomfield, Joel Ann Hyde of Rockford, Jerry Hyde of Bellevue, Washington, Julie Roe of Caro and many nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by one brother, James R. Hyde in 1998.
