Fred Leskowich

Fred Leskowich, Jr., of Sebewaing, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at the age of 74. After several months of declining health, Fred died peacefully at home with his beloved wife Laura Lee and loving family by his side.

Fred was born on October 10, 1946, in Linz, Austria to the late Augustine and Fred Leskowich, Sr. He married the former Laura Lee Kemp on May 15, 1965.

After growing up and working on the family farm, he worked construction for many years before retiring as a foreman at Tower Automotive.

Fred was a life-long member of Trinity United Methodist Church and devoted trustee member for many years.  He was mechanically minded and could fix or build most anything. He was quick-witted and always had a funny one- liner to make you laugh. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, mowing his lawn, and working in his shed. However, he was the happiest spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 55 years Laura Lee Leskowich, children, Steve and Sheri Wenglikowski of Bay City, Jim and Jackie Leskowich of  Tipp City, OH, Kelli and Eddie Braun of Pigeon, and Mike and Becki Leskowich, of Durand, IL; 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and his entire extended family.

Due to COVID-19, a private gathering will be held for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Trinity United Methodist Church or ACW Ambulance. A celebration of life will be held later in 2021.
