Fred Kevin White of Cass City, formerly of Gloucester, Virginia passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 30, 2023. Kevin was born June 30, 1960 in Pontiac, the son of Patricia (Blackshear) Warren and the late Fred M. White. He grew up in Pontiac and in 1972 he began attending school in Clawson. Kevin was active in the music department, student senate, drama team, and yearbook staff. He graduated from Clawson High School with the class of 1978 and went on to attend Jackson College of Ministries (JCM) from 1978-1981. At JCM he was the tambourine player extraordinaire! After JCM Kevin returned to Michigan and was a mentor and friend to many in the youth department at The Apostolic Church. He had a great voice and was a soloist with choir. Kevin moved to Arkansas to care for his grandparents. After leaving Arkansas, he moved to Virginia and worked at various jobs, becoming a managing partner for Sonic. His latest store was in Gloucester, Viginia, where he recently retired from the food service industry. Kevin's heart was in Michigan and he moved back in December 2022. He was a friend to everyone. Kevin was an encourager. Full of compassion. He loved his family and his church. Kevin was looking forward to settling and re-establishing relationships. Kevin leaves to cherish his memory, his mom & dad, Patricia and Donald Warren; brother, Robert Keith (Chris) White; step-siblings who he considered as blood, Donna (Reginald) Taylor, Robert Warren, Lauri Valdez, Robin (Ronald) Hall, and Jacqueline (Blair) Adams; nieces and nephews, Robert DeLong, Meghan (Lewis) Cox, Brian (Jamie) White, Jonathan (Catherine) Taylor, Crystal Hall, Matthew Hall, Maria Ball, Christopher Valdez, Justin (Melissa) Valdez, Brittany (Micah) Morrow, and Christian Hall; uncle, Rev. Jay (Betty) Blackshear; several great-nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and his longtime partner, Robert Redmond. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Fred White; grandparents, Estess and Winnie White, Robert and Lottie Blackshear, and Raymond and Hazel Warren; brother-in-law, Manuel Valdez; niece, Christina Valdez; nephew, Steve Ball. The family would like to thank everyone for coming to honor Kevin. For your calls, texts, emails, hugs, and prayers.
