Gail M. Hyzer

Gail M. Hyzer of Caro, age 69, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Medilodge of Cass City. Gail was born June 11, 1948 in Flint, the daughter of the late DeForest and Laurel (Hartner) McKinley. She was united in marriage with Darrel Hyzer of June 30, 1973 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Fenton, and he preceded her in death in 1994. Gail was employed at Hudson's, starting in the restaurant and retired as head bookkeeper. She was a true blue Redwings fan, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Gail loved her little red convertible and her two cats, Phanny May and Rascal. She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Norine & James Jaster of Howell; two nephews and their spouses, Matthew & Kelly Jaster, and their two children, Preston and Morgan, and William & Cody Jaster, and their three children,Zoe, Noah and Sarah; sister-in-law, Joni Schietzelt; and special friends, Bonnie Kata, Trina and Tara Rowland, Arthur & April Brinkman, Matthew Shea and Marie Roach. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Caro Area Relay for Life.
