Gail Lynn Wilcox

January 28, 1946 — April 29, 2025

Caseville

Gail Lynn Wilcox of Caseville, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Scheurer Hospital. She was born January 28, 1946 in Bad Axe, the daughter of the late Hall and Esther (Heron) Stirrett.

Gail graduated from Caseville High School and went on to earn her associates degree. She was the assistant vice president at Community First Bank in Lansing, Michigan for over 20 years, before semi-retiring to Caseville where she was elected to be the Township Treasurer for two years. Outside of work, Gail found joy in reading and cherished every opportunity to spend time with her loved ones in both Michigan and California. She loved volunteering for Shanty Days, Ribstock, and the Cheeseburger Festival in Caseville. Gail was a devoted presence in the lives of her grandchildren and grand-nieces and nephews, rarely missing a sporting event and always cheering them on with pride. Gail also treasured time with her brothers and sisters—whether they were going out to dinner, shopping, or planning one of the many memorable family gatherings she so effortlessly brought to life. Her kind heart, gentle patience, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Gail leaves to cherish her memory, her son and his wife, Jeffrey and Emily Wilcox and their children, Faye and Jude, all of Southern California; sisters, Patricia Stirrett of Caseville, Judy (Roger) Meredith of Cass City, Kay (John) Sweeney of Metamora, and Vera Stewart of Caro; brothers, Jim (Lauran) Stirrett of Freeland and Keith (Shelley) Stirrett of Caseville; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In keeping with Gail’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 12:00pm until 4:00pm at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Caseville. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Champagne Funeral Chapel.
