Gale David Schwalm

Gale D. Schwalm, 87, of Caseville, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at his home.

Gale was born at home on March 20, 1935 to the late Jacob and Martha (Henne) Schwalm. He graduated from Bay Port High School in 1953. He married Patricia Kelly on November 6, 1954 at Caseville Methodist Church; she preceded him in death March 6, 2018. Gale was a lifelong cash crop and dairy farmer. He enjoyed pony pulling.

Gale is survived by his daughters Cynthia Langley of Cass City and Pamela Christner of Caseville; grandchildren Jason Christner, Christopher (Amber Logan) Langley, Matthew (Amanda) Langley, Jamie Stefan, Rebecca (Buddy) Putnam, and Kayla (Randy Sherman) Christner; great-grandchildren McKenna and Mariah Christner, Brandon Ryan, Colin Lesperance, Ashton Langley, Aubrey and Mikenna Stefan, Madalynn, Brantley and Aleeya Putnam, Brady and Brielle Christner, Grayson and Olivia Langley. He was preceded in death by his son Randy, great-granddaughter Nora, and siblings June Jensen, Eleanor Newman, Frieda Ricica and Basil Schwalm.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Wednesday, March 8th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Caseville Twp Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of the service.
