Galen L. Trask Jr.

Galen L. Trask, Jr. of Akron, age 43, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at his residence. Galen was born October 18, 1974 in Lewiston, Maine, the son of the late Galen, Sr. and Helen (Cromwell) Trask. He was united in marriage with the former Lisa M. Towery outdoors on August 20, 2005 at the Darbee Farm Park in Caro. Galen was formerly employed as a flooring installer and most recently, what he loved best, farming. He loved working with the cows, chickens, and cutting wood. When he was not spoiling his granddaughter, Ana Marie, Galen loved being outdoors hunting, riding the tractor or anything outdoors with a motor. Galen is survived by his loving wife of thirteen years, Lisa; five children, James McCollum of Caro, John McCollum of Akron, Joseph Taylor of Akron, Chelsey Quintana & her husband, Carlos, of Caro, and Jacob Taylor of Akron: one granddaughter, Ana Marie Quintana, three siblings, Bernard Stickney & Diane of Mars Hill, Maine, Barb Bell of Skowhegan, Maine, and Gordon "Tom" Stickney & his wife, Debbie, of Chelsea, Maine; mother- and father-in-law, Mary Sue & Douglas LaPratt; family friend, Ron & Shelia Hohne of Unionville; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents. Galen was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeffrey and Mark Stickney; and one sister, Pamela Stickney. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home with Rev. Michele Hile officiating.
