Garrett E. Jackson

Garrett Elwood Jackson, age 88, of Sebewaing, passed away Monday morning, February 17, 2025 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

Garrett was born September 22, 1936 in Grayson, Kentucky to Willard and Margaret Jackson. He graduated from Sebewaing High School in 1955. On September 28, 1956 he married Myrtle Joyce Gaeth at New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 37 years, retiring in 1991. He was the Sunday School Superintendent at New Salem along with a church Elder and was on the Evangelism Committee. He enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, camping, bus trips, fishing, working puzzles and playing cribbage.

Garrett is survived by his wife, Myrtle; Children: Evelyn (Karl) Eckert of Novi, Michael of Canton and Timothy of Warren; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; siblings: Gail and Raymond, and many nieces and nephews.

Garrett is preceded in death by his parents, sons: David (Carol) and Jason; siblings: infant Thelma, Garhold, Louise, Willard, Millie, Dale and infant Grant.

Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2025 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2pm-7pm.

The funeral service will be Saturday, February 22, 2025 at New Salem Lutheran Church, 222 Grove St, Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Pastor William Mayhew will be officiating. Burial will be private at Assembly of God Cemetery in Sebewaing.
