Garth "Woody" S. Schooley

Garth S. Schooley "Woody", age 63, of Bay Port, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017, at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

Garth enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing, boating, playing pool, and arguing with everyone. He had numerous friends and enjoyed mentoring young adults and taking kids out on their first hunting experience. Along with carpentry, he enjoyed helping out with numerous jobs at the family business, the Bay Port Inn, for over 50 years.

Garth is survived by his dear daughter, Pamela (Russell Harder) Schooley of Bay Port; step son: Mark (Kim) Walters of Jacksonville, FL; loving girlfriend, Deb Otulakowski "Stella" of Bay Port; siblings: Alan (Denise) Schooley of Bay Port, Mark (Lori) Schooley of Bay Port, and Eileen (Clayton) Fahl of Bay Port; grandchildren: Kurt, Hope, Koley, and Fayth Harder; and many nieces and nephews.

Garth is preceded in death by his parents: Al and Colleen Allred, and George Schooley.

A memorial service has been planned for Monday, December 18, 2017, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 12pm until the time of service at 2pm. Brad Haist will be officiating.

Memorial donations may be given to the family.
