Gary Paul Anderson

Gary Paul Anderson of Caro, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at his home. Gary was born January 31, 1949 in Flint, the son of the late Roland and Velma (Grace) Anderson. He was united in marriage with the former Laura Joles on June 24, 1972 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Caro, and she survives. Gary was the owner/operator of Dent-All Works for more than twenty-five years. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and an eloquent speaker. He loved camping, nutty donuts and was the "King of dad jokes." Gary was a true family man and an expert at everything he over-cooked. He enjoyed movies, Strand Theater popcorn, making people laugh, but most importantly, spoiling his grandchildren and spending time with family at cookouts and barbeques. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Laura Anderson of Caro; five children and their spouses, Jeremy & Kari Anderson of Philadelphia, PA, Chris & Jessica Anderson of Bay City, Shaunda & Shawn McClorey of Bay City, Jordan Anderson of Philadelphia, PA, Cassie Anderson of Caro; eight grandchildren, Gabe, Alexcis, Lukas, Liam, Paxton, Griffin, Alora, and Evie; siblings and spouses, Mike & Jennifer Anderson of Caro, Sandy Ewald of Tennessee, Rick & Linda Roat of Arizona, Scott & Marianne Roat of Burton, Terri Brown of Fairgrove, and Tammy Klein of Flint; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by three brothers, Tom Roat, Rod Anderson, and Randall Roat. In keeping with Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
