Gary Wayne Coleman Sr.

Gary W. Coleman Sr., 64, of Caseville, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at home.

Gary was born November 29, 1959 in Trenton to Robert and Shirley (Patterson) Coleman.  He married Valeri Hagen on October 3, 1980 in Allen Park.  Gary retired from Detroit Edison after 36 years as a journeyman mechanic at the Monroe Power Plant.  He was a lifelong EMT, firefighter and a marine division sheriff for Huron and Tuscola Counties.  He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a member of the Caseville Eagles.

Gary is survived by his wife Valeri; mother Shirley Kucharek; children Erin (Abel) Cuellar, Kathie, Spring (Natalie), Shannon (Erica), Gary Jr. (Anna Karen), Daniel (Rebecca) and Alexis (Cameron) Dooley; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brother Robert (Betsy) and sister Cheryl Noel.  He was preceded in death by his father Robert and niece Kimberly Noel.

A memorial service will be at 1:00pm Sunday, September 15th at the Caseville Eagles Club.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
