Gary Lee Hall

Gary Lee Hall of Akron, age 53, passed away after a brief, yet courageous battle with lung cancer on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at his home, with his family by his side. Gary was born January 7, 1970 in Saginaw, the son of the late Lynn and Ruth (Kuck) Hall. He attended Akron-Fairgrove High School and went on to hold various jobs in the construction industry. It was in high school Gary happened to meet the former Heather DuBois. Gary and Heather reconnected in 2006 and have been inseparable ever since. They were united in marriage on March 18, 2023 after dating for over sixteen years. Gary was employed with Dan's Excavating as a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Dewitt Moose Lodge. He loved to socialize, had the best sense of humor, and the most fascinating mind. Gary was truly selfless and would help anyone he could. He enjoyed "wrenching on old junk" and could fix anything. Gary may have been rough around the edges, but he had a heart of gold that will be missed beyond measure. Gary leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Heather; siblings, David Hall, Tammie Trisch, Ann Decker, Mary Jackson, and Renae Hall; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Cragg, Kara Trisch, Lynnette Crumby, Josh Decker, Michaela Decker, Daniel Decker, Melanie Dodds, Jessica Dehring, Audrea Wiehl, and Scott Hall, Jr.; and many friends. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Hall. In keeping with Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life is being planned for June 2023.
