Gary Paul Marxhausen

Gary Paul Marxhausen , age 71, of Sebewaing, has gone to be with Jesus, October 18, 2021.

Gary was born on November 24, 1949 to Paul Gerhardt Marxhausen and Alice Louise Marxhausen at New Ulm, Minnesota. Gary and Sandy (Bauer) Kuhl were married on September 11, 2004 in Racine, Wisconsin where Gary took his last call as principal at Trinity Lutheran School. Gary was a loved and respected teacher and principal for 40 years before retiring in 2011. Gary loved spending time with family. He especially loved the outdoors. He and Sandy golfed together in the summer and bowled on the Friday afternoon Senior League. He also had pride in his lawn and table gardens.

Gary had a passion for woodworking. He and Sandy attended many conferences displaying his woodworking. He has made many baptismal plaques for all the children baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church and St. Paul Lutheran Church. Gary loved his Lord and was a prayer warrior. He kept a 3 ring binder with all the names of people he prayed for.

Survived by wife, Sandy; children: Erin (Eric) Rathke, Jason (Anissa) Kuhl, Amy (Jody Bach) Gangler, Matthew (Traci) Kuhl; grandchildren: Maddox, Jade, Treston, Skylar, Ryder, Jaxon and Ramzee; siblings: Sharon (Wally) Buckentin, Al (Kris) Marxhausen, Mark (Julie) Marxhausen; and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, a brother whom they called "Baby Boy" and grandson, Dawson Kuhl.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Friday, October 22, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Memorial donations may be given to Christ the King Lutheran School or Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Burial of his cremains will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.
