Gary H. Thomas, age 48, of Bad Axe died Thursday evening, June 11, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Saginaw after a lengthy illness.
He was born April 9, 1961, at Hubbard Hospital, Bad Axe to Margit (Tordai) Thomas and the late Harold Thomas.
After high school, Class of 79, Mt. Morris High School, Gary was employed at Green Lakes Meat Packing in Goodrich. After moving to Bad Axe he was worked at Regency Plastics of Ubly for a short time, and was forced to retire early for health reasons.
Gary enjoyed visiting with his friends, listening to music and flower gardening.
Surviving are his children, Allyssa Thomas and John Thomas of Flint; a grandson, Carter; his mother, Margit Thomas of Cass City; his brother, James (Vickie) Thomas of Flint; aunts and uncle, Frank and Jerri Tordai of Cass City and Vernita Nimtz of Sebewaing and many cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, June15, at Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton. Rev. Keith McKinnies, pastor of Calvary Apostolic Tabernacle, Flint will officiate with burial in Grant Twp. Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 PM Sunday and after 10 AM Monday.
