Gene R. Collow

Gene R. Callow age 69 of Pigeon died Sunday afternoon, January 25, at his home while under hospice care.

He was born October 10 1945 in Midland to the late James and Evelyn (Smith) Callow and graduated from Midland High School in 1964. That same year, he joined the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1967 at the rank of SP5-E5.

He worked at many trades thru his life time, but was mainly a machine operator.

He leaves three children, Lori Mead of Bay Port, Joy (Mike) Hall of Vail, AZ and Scott (Teng) Callow of Hamilton. He loved his grandchildren, Peter, Andrew, Karenna, Dylan, Mark, Chai and Jordyn and adored them very much. Also surviving are siblings, Pat (Bob) Hoyt of Midland, Jeanine (Bud) Gerrard of Bay City and Bill Callow of Traverse City.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Neale and Jim Callow.


There will be no services or visitation his cremains will be buried with his parents near Midland.
