Genevieve L. Mcilhargie

Genevieve L. McIlhargie, 94, of Pinnebog, died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at McLaren Thumb Region Hospital in Bad Axe.

Jenny was born January 29, 1924 in Pigeon to the late Joseph and Emma (Albrecht) Shetler.  She graduated from Pigeon High School and Grace Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit.  She married William McIlhargie January 26, 1946; he preceded her in death October 3, 2005.

Jenny worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Scheurer at Scheurer Hospital and as a special duty nurse.  She was a former member of Chandler Presbyterian Church and Scenic Golf Course.

She is survived by her children Beverly (Hugo) M. Arevalo of Naco, Arizona, Daryl (Laline) McIlhargie of Chandler, Arizona and Dawn L. McIlhargie of Pinnebog; grandchildren Michelle, Miles and Meghan; great-grandchildren Shelby, Marcus, Ronan, Madeleine, and Jackson; and brother Dale (Noni) Shetler of Pigeon.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, December 21 ^st at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Elkton with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating.  Burial will be in Colfax Township Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00am  Friday until the time of the service.  Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
