George Dewey Brown Jr.

George Dewey Brown Jr, 87, of Port Austin died Saturday, September 22, 2018 at McLaren Thumb Region in Bad Axe.

George was born February 1, 1931 in Goody, Kentucky to the late George Sr. and Princess (Mullens) Brown.  He served in the US Air Force from 1950-1954, stationed in Germany.  In 1991 he retired after working 30 years at GM/Orion Plant and moved to Port Austin the next year.

He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Brown of Kingston; cherished granddaughter April Major (and her boyfriend Michael Chisum) of Arizona; and great-grandchildren Rheegan, Maddison, Nickolas, Michael Jr., and Nathan.  He was preceded in death by his first wife Joyce McArthur Brown in 1999, his second wife Barbara Daugherty Seagraves Brown in 2018 and his sisters Violet and Loretta.

Funeral services will be 9:30 Thursday, September 27 ^th at Great Lakes National Veterans Cemetery in Holly with Pastor Mike Goforth of Calvary Baptist Church, Caseville officiating.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
