George Buniack

George Buniack, age 51 years, of Caro, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw. He was born on December 19, 1956 in Caro to Patricia (OConnor) Buniack and the late George Buniack. George was a lifelong resident of Caro and a Caro High School graduate. He was a United States Army veteran, and upon his return he became an employee with General Motors where he worked until he retired. George was a member of the Catholic faith. He liked buying and working with large equipment and enjoyed 80s rock music and bowling. He liked watching the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers and Michigan football. He is survived by three children, Chad (Tiffany Leyva) Buniack of Akron, Ashley (Nick Sheren) Buniack of Manchester, and Sara Buniack of Caro; four grandchildren, Seth, Christian, Valin and Jaidon; his mother, Patricia Buniack of Caro; his siblings, Mike (Silvia) OConnor of Caro, Sherry Ralston of Caro, Patty Vaughan of Caro, Chris Buniack of Greycourt, South Carolina and Sue (Sam) Tallman of Caro; several nieces and nephews; and his companion, Connie Girl. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Phyllis Bennick, and a nephew, Christopher Ralston. Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Wilmot on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Andrzej Boroch officiating. Cremation will follow the service and burial with military honors will be at St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the George Buniack family discretionary fund, c/o Chad Buniack.
