Georgene Bell Lane

Georgene Bell Lane, 87, a 45-year resident of Birmingham, died Thursday Nov 6, 2003 at her home.
Georgene was born May 23, 1916 to the late George and Mary (Jaross) Cleaver in the “Crawford House” which is now the “Champagne Funeral Chapel in Caseville”, she is returning home for her final resting.

In 1939, she married Paul Gutschlag and had two children, Susan and Paul. Georgene later married Harold Lane, he preceded her in death. She employed for 19 years as an executive secretary for Acme Manufacturing of Ferndale and later worked for 12 years as a legal secretary for several firms before retiring in 1965.

Surviving are her daughter Susan M. Carroll of Royal Oak, son Paul Gutschlag of Ann Arbor; three grandchildren, Kenneth P. Carroll, Timothy J. Carroll, Krystal S. Carroll; two great-grandchildren Thomas J. Carroll, Andrew P. Carroll and her sister, Florence Schuman of Sand Point.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, 12 PM, November10, Champagne Funeral Chapel in Caseville, MI with burial in the Caseville Twp. Cemetery.
