Gerald A. Clor, 86, of Caseville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 4, 2022 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.
Jerry was born March 27, 1935 in Harbor Beach to the late Joseph and Clara (Messing) Clor. He attended White Rock Country School and he served in the US Army, stationed in Germany. He married Priscilla Baksa on June 29, 1963 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Flint; she preceded him in death November 9, 2012.
Jerry retired from General Motors Flint Transmission Plant in 1992. He moved from Davison to Caseville in 1992. Jerry was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, the Caseville FOE #3690, Moose Lodge, and the West Huron Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed traveling, playing cards, woodworking and spending time with his family.
Jerry is survived by his children Matthew (Sharon) of Fenton, Rodney (Martha) of Lapeer, Darren (Rebecca) of Clio, and Amy (Brian) Kirk of North Branch; grandchildren Tony, Jennifer, Samantha, Zackary, Amanda, Thomas, Laci, Gavin and Kendall and great-grandchildren McKinley, Brooks, and Truman; and sisters Joann (Lewis) Slavick and Patricia Clor. He was preceded in death by his brothers Luke, Fabian, Gabriel and Benjamin, and sisters Regina Hanselman and Marie Klee.
A funeral mass will be 11:00am Tuesday, February 8th at St. Roch Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Burial will be 10:00am Thursday, February 10th in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 2-6 Monday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
