Gerald F. Deeg

Gerald F. Deeg , age 76, of Sebewaing, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Hurley Medical Center.

Gerald was born July 29, 1945, in Pigeon, to Paul and Laura (Schultz) Deeg. He entered into the United States Air Force and served during Vietnam in Moron de la Frontera Sevelle, Spain. He married Francisca Valle on September 9, 1967 in Moron de la Frontera, Spain. He retired from General Motors Powertrain in Saginaw. Gerald was very active in his church and enjoyed fishing on the Blue Water Bridge.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Francisca; two sons: Gerald (Melissa) Deeg, Jr. and Christopher (Ronda) Deeg; grandchildren: Keegan (Nikki) Maczkowski, Ashley (Nicholas) Piersee, Gunnar Deeg and Carson Deeg; great grandchildren: Aurora, Logan, Abel, Avery, Elliot, Alaura and Octavia; and siblings: Robert (Linda) Deeg and Shirley Leiterman; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned for Thursday, February 3, 2022 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (Bach). Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial of his ashes will be at the church cemetery.
