Gerald Arthur Hill of Cass City, age 74, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2026 while at home. He was born in Tecumseh on April 14, 1952, the son of the late Arthur and Nola (Anglemyre).
Gerald dedicated more than thirty years of his career to Walbro in Cass City, where he specialized in the development of fuel pumps. His ingenuity and skill were reflected in the nine patents he earned throughout his lifetime. Prior to his years at Walbro, Gerald worked for Alma Products while living in St. Louis.
Gerald was a longtime member of the Caro Gun Club and the Thumb Area Old Engine and Tractor Association. He had a great appreciation for tractors, particularly John Deere, and was an avid collector of model toy tractors. Over the years, his collection grew to include more than 300 pieces.
He also enjoyed snowmobiling, especially when he could share the adventure with his brother. Their trips took them throughout Michigan and, in later years, out west, including memorable adventures in Yellowstone.
Above all, Gerald held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews. They always put a twinkle in his eye.
Left to cherish Gerald’s memory are his siblings, Laurie Purdy and Scott Hill; his nieces and nephew, Grant, Amelia, and Alexandria.
In keeping with Gerald’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services are planned at this time. Those wishing to express sympathy may consider a memorial contribution to the Caro Gun Club.
