Gerald Lipe

Gerald L. Lipe, age 63, passed away at his home on Friday, April 24, 2009, following a courageous battle with cancer. Jerry was born June 17, 1945 in Pontiac, the son of the late Brooks Lee & Dorothy (Hudson) Lipe. His father, Brooks, passed away shortly after Jerrys birth, and he was raised by his mother and her second husband, Theodore Powell. Jerry was united in marriage with the former Dianne Beebe on August 14, 1971 in Caro, and the couple cherished more than thirty-seven years together. He was employed as a mechanic for S & B Auto in Caro for over twenty years and will be remembered as a man that could fix almost anything. Jerry was a member of the Caro Moose Lodge #1049 and enjoyed camping, riding Herbie and playing “Farkle.” Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Lipe of Caro; four children and their spouses, Tina & Dale Dornfeld of Leander, Texas, Joe & Tonya Lipe of Indianapolis, Indiana, Steve & Kit Lipe of Caro, Kim Lipe of Caro; fifteen grandchildren; three brothers and their spouses, Bob & Shirley Lipe of Caro, Darrold & Sandy Lipe of Caro, Ted Powell of Kingston and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Denny Gibson.
