Gerald Robert Miller

Gerald Robert Miller, 67, of Caseville, died suddenly June 7, 2010 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

Gerald was born October 24, 1942 in Detroit to late Harold and Marian (Stoecklin) Miller. He graduated from Austin High School in 1961 and then attended the University of Detroit. He served in the US Navy from 1966 to 1970 in Vietnam.

On October 9, 1971 he married Carole M. Thorson of Detroit. He worked for Detroit Edison as an engineering technician before retiring in 1987. He moved to Caseville in 1985. He was a member of the Cushman Club of America. His hobbies including restoring Cushman motorcycles, golf and as an artist he enjoyed painting and framing and matting. He also enjoyed spending time with and walking his beloved Jack Russell terrier Ginger.

He is survived by his wife Carole.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law Virginia and Orville Thorson and sister-in-law Jeannie Shaner.

No funeral services are planned. Those wishing to honor Gerald may make a donation to the charity of their choosing.
