Jerry Rocheleau, age 57, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at his home with his family at his side. Jerry was born September 21, 1954 in Cass City, the son of the late Francis “Frank” and Olive (Nutt) Rocheleau, and graduated from Caro High School. He was employed at the Caro Regional Center for seventeen years, and went to work as Director of Operations with Benchmark Residential Services. Jerry was a past member of the United States Trotting Association, Michigan Harness Horsemens Association, Caro Eagles Aerie #3587 and the Saginaw Eagles Club. He was a harness racing enthusiast and over the years he trained and drove several horses, racing in County Matinees, County Fair Circuits and Pari-Mutual Tracks throughout Michigan. Jerry was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved being on the water and enjoyed the outdoors, camping and spending time with family and friends. He was united in marriage with Cathy Sierocki on December 2, 1995 in Gagetown, she survives him. He is also survived by his three daughters and their spouses, Tina & Michael Calkins of North Carolina, Sheri & Brent Wisenbach of Caro; their mother, Donna Rocheleau of Caro; a daughter, Mandy & Michael Kocsis of White Lake; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Shawn and Ryan Calkins, all of North Carolina, Kaden and Ava Grace Wisenbach of Caro, Sydney, Carly and Natalie Kocsis of White Lake; a sister-in-law and several brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Beryle Rocheleau; three brothers, Keith and Ken Rocheleau and George Woodard. In honoring Jerrys wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family committal service will be held at St. Agatha Cemetery in Gagetown at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Rocheleau Family Discretionary Fund, c/o Cathy Rocheleau at 205 W. Sherman St., Caro, MI 48723.
