Gerald James Strozeski Sr.

Gerald J. Strozeski Sr., 85, of Caro, passed away Friday, May 13, 2022 at Satchell’s Christian Retirement Home in Caro.

Gerry was born July 15, 1936 in Harbor Beach to the late Alex and Katherine (Kula) Strozeski. He married Patricia Frazer July 30, 1955 in Pontiac and raised six children. In 1970 he moved to Port Austin and owned Blue Spruce Motel. In 1977 he opened Butcher Block Meats in Caseville. He retired in 1991 and moved to Caro. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards. His greatest love was for his wife of 66 years and the family they made.

Gerry is survived by his wife Patricia; children Gerald Jr. (Beth) of Caseville, Robert of Essexville, Susan (David) McCormick of Cass City, Marci (John) Talaski of Caseville, and Roseann (Dan) Osentoski of Caseville; 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1great-great-grandson; and sister Diane Alexander of Caro. He was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Farver, sister Loretta and brothers Clarence, Leonard and Ernie.

A memorial mass will be at 11:00am Thursday, May 19th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 910 West Frank Street, Caro.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
