Gerald Thomas Yax

Gerald T. Yax, 86, of Kinde, passed away Thanksgiving, November 25, 2021 at Lakeview Extended Care in Harbor Beach.

Jerry was born September 24, 1935 in Lake Twp to the late James and Mary (Stirrett) Yax. He married Marion Gosselin on May 12, 1962 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Detroit.

Jerry enjoyed time with his family and friends, playing the fiddle and maintaining the woods and trails of the Yax Farm.

Jerry is survived by his wife Marion; children Robert of Bridgeport, Jeannette VanDusen of Clio, William (Carla) of Millington, Joseph (Michelle) of Clio and Jay (Kristen) of Clio; grandchildren Patrick and Jordan VanDusen, Madelyn, Emily, Evan, Abby, Andrew Yax, and Douglas Delecki; great-grandchild Brady Delecki; brothers Larry of Taylor and Richard of Canton; sisters Annabel Stolicker of Caseville and Sandra Klee of Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers George and Duane and sisters Agnes, Maggie, Lucy, Gladys and Jean.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, November 30th at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Pigeon with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Burial will be in St. Felix Cemetery, Pinnebog. Visitation will be 3-8pm Monday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon.
