Geraldine E. Binder

Geraldine E. Binder, age 78, passed away January 7, 2021, at Brian's House in Essexville.

Geraldine was born August 5, 1942, in Unionville to Joseph, Sr. and Anna (Koepf) Sakon. Geraldine graduated from Unionville High School in 1960. She married David Frank Binder on June 25, 1960 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Unionville. Geraldine retired as a production worker from Sebewaing Industries. She enjoyed being with family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping, going to the casino, playing cards, bingo, reading the Bible and drinking "milk".

Geraldine is survived by her children: Pam (Ron) Hawley of Cass City, Teresa Wolf of Cass City, Paul (Natasha) Binder of Owendale, Mark (Diane) Binder of Unionville and Dale (Heidi) Binder of Smyrna, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren; 4 great granddaughters; 4 great grandsons; siblings: Joe Sakon, Jr., John Sakon, Linda (Mike) O'Hare and Anthony (Cindy) Sakon; sister-in-law Sally Sakon; and many nieces and nephews.

Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; 2 grandchildren: Landon Binder and Joey Hawley; brother, Richard Sakon; and sister, JoAnn (Tom) Collins.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm. Masks are required.

The funeral service will be Monday, January 11, 2021 at Our Lady Conslolata Catholic Church-Holy Family site in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Burial will be at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Unionville. Masks are required.

Memorial donations may be given to the family to cover funeral expenses or given directly to the funeral home.
