Geraldine Fritz

Geraldine Fritz, age 73, of Caro, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. She was born on May 31, 1936 in Cass City to the late Louis and Lula May (Lintner) Fry. She was a lifelong resident of Tuscola County. In addition to being a homemaker and mother, she had worked at the Clark Canning Company and was a playground aide at Ben McComb Elementary School. Geraldine enjoyed clipping coupons, canning, and camping. She is survived by seven children, Robert (Lorraine) Fritz of Caro, Joyce Fritz of Lake, Donna Whatley of Florida, Sharon (Guy) Weidman of Tennessee, Lonnie (Sam) Fritz of Detroit, Rona (Mike) Essex of Cass City, Janice (Bob) Schrader of Caro; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ethel Lockard of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie; and a great-granddaughter. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Ellington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Geraldine Fritz family discretionary fund, c/o Janice Schrader, 302 S.
