Geraldine Perkins

Geraldine A. Perkins, age 80, passed away at the Lapeer Regional Medical Center on Monday, October 15, 2007, following a lingering illness. She was born February 26, 1927 in Tuscola, the daughter of the late Gerald & Bertha (Wilbur) McCrumb, and grew up in the Watrousville area. She was united in marriage to Warren H. Perkins in 1947 in Flint. For most of their married life, they lived in the Otisville and Gilford area before Warrens death on April 9, 1981. Geraldine has resided in the Lapeer area since 1986. She worked in a variety of jobs around the area, but will be best remembered working at Stoddards Market in Watrousville for many years. In her leisure time, Geraldine loved reading, sewing, fishing, going to garage sales and spending time with her family. Geraldine is survived by one daughter, three sons and their spouses, Lee Ann & Donald Stroup of Lapeer, Thomas & Michelle Perkins of Vassar, Bill & Mary Perkins of Fostoria, Jerry & Bonnie Perkins of Saginaw; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Perkins of Caro; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Ella Farnum of Reese and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Geraldine was preceded in death by one son, Douglas G. Perkins in 1996; one grandson, Kevin Perkins in 1988; two sisters and three brothers, Marguerite Campbell, Joyce Klopf, Clare Keech, Robert McCrumb and Burton McCrumb.
