Geraldine A. Steinman

Geraldine Annie Margaret (Roestel) Steinman, 88, of Pigeon went to be with her Lord, Saturday morning, December 3, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Geri was born on November 19, 1923 in Chandler Twp. to the late Fred and Annie (Fritz) Roestel. She married Nelson Steinman on March 21, 1940 in Napoleon, OH and they raised their family on a farm in Chandler Twp. Nelson passed away April 25, 1979 at the age of 61.
Geri was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and had the wonderful ability to make so many feel like they were part of her family. She was happiest when she was in the middle of lots of people, feeding them, spending time with them, and loving them. She also worked for many years at Haist Flowers and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pigeon, MI.
Surviving her sons, Gary (Audrey), Lee (Sherril), Dale (Jackie); her daughter, Carol (Joel) Ingles; her grandchildren, Chris (Dave) Nelson, Robert (special friend, Jillian) Steinman, James (Trisha) Steinman, Jeremy (Heidi) Steinman, Tracy (John) Johnson, Joshua (Kari) Steinman, Troy (Tessa) Steinman, Jeff (Sara) Mallory, Melissa (special friend, Robert) Ingles, Ron (special friend, Teri) Mallory, Tiffany (Brent) Salas, Nicole(special friend, Eric) Steinman and Rylee Steinman. She was blessed with 20 great grandchildren, and many extended family members. Preceding her in death were brothers, Walter and Henry Roestel.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 6, at the First United Methodist Church, Pigeon. Rev. John Britt, pastor will officiate with burial in Grandlawn Cemetery, Pigeon.
Friends and family may call at the First United Methodist Church, 7102 E. Michigan Ave., Pigeon from 3 to 8 PM Monday and after 10 AM Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Long Term Care at Scheurer Hospital or First United Methodist Church, Pigeon
