Gierrie Herman Haag

Gierrie Herman Haag, age 79, of Pigeon, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Lee's AFC Home in Pigeon.

Gierrie was born in Pigeon on January 27, 1941, to Herman and Esther (Backer) Haag, growing up in Sebewaing. He enjoyed going for car rides, working puzzles, riding in airplanes with Butch Miller, deer hunting with his friend Ron Heckman, visiting local business in Pigeon, helping on the family farm and enjoyed visiting with everyone. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church (Kilmanagh).

Gierrie is survived by his half brothers, Curtis and Dennis Haag, and half sisters, Carol Haag and Linda.

Gierrie is preceded in death by brother, Franklin Haag and infant brother, Jerry.

Cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 26, 2020, at 11am at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Rev. Thom Garrison will be officiating.

Memorial donations may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church.
