Gladys Marie Hayes

Gladys M. Hayes, 91, of Elkton, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Covenant Cooper Hospital in Saginaw.

Gladys was born November 10, 1932 in Chandler Twp to the late John and Beatrice (Dailey) Hayes.  She grew up around Owendale and attended several country schools.  She was a homemaker, care giver and farmhand.  She was a former member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Elkton and the Elkton Senior Citizens.  She enjoyed attending the Elkton Prayer Breakfasts, car rides, visiting with friends and family, and could often be found walking around town.  The last several years of her life were spent at the Rose Garden Assisted Living in Elkton where she enjoyed time spent with other residents and staff.

Gladys is survived by her sister Mary Morley of Elkton.  She loved being aunt to many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.  She was preceded in death by her four brothers Henry, John, Patrick and Charles.

Funeral services will be at 3:00pm Saturday, November 25th at the Community Wesleyan Church in Elkton with Rev. Ean Green officiating.  Visitation will begin at 1:00pm Saturday at the church and continue until the time of the service.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
