Glen Otto "Goose" Wissner

On Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at age 85, God welcomed home his good and faithful servant Glen "Goose" Otto Wissner.

Glen was born on August 16, 1930 in Brookfield Township, MI, son of the late Fred and Myrtle (Strauch) Wissner. He married Jean A. Mischung on August 7, 1954 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing and served on many boards. He served his community
on the Sebewaing Village Council for many years. He retired from Easlick Construction as a bulldozer operator. After retirement he worked with Lloyd Adam at Adam's Lawn Care. Glen loved his Lord, his family and watching sports. He was a faithful USA High School sports fan. He lived a blessed life and was eternally grateful to God for everyday he was given.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; children: Pamela (Paul) Geiger of Sebewaing; Wendy (Webster) Tally of Bay City; and Jodie (Michael) Bolzman of Unionville; grandchilden: Tracy (Marty Weiler) Geiger, Marc (Anne McDonald) Geiger, Kristin (Nick) McCreedy, Ashley Wright; Angela (Craig) Vermeersch, Jennifer (Eric) Gardy and Jordan (Amanda Faist) Bolzman; great-grandchildren: Jayda Geiger, Josie Geiger, Stella & Cora McCreedy, Reid & Myles Vermeersch and Ava & Chase Gardy; siblings: Arlene Ross, Nina Alexander, Gerald "Red" Wissner, Maxine (Vern) Winter and Patricia Sontag; sisters-in-law: Katie Wissner, Pat Wissner, Alice Wissner and Shirley (Jim) Wurst; and many nieces and nephews.

Glen is preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Myrtle Wissner, siblings: Esther Cochrane, Vernita McPhail, Milda Polley, Owen Wissner, Aldine Voss, Donald Wissner and Kenneth Wissner, father and mother-in-law, Andrew & Mary Mischung.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 7 from 2-8 pm at the Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.

The funeral service will be on Friday, July 8 at 11 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10 am until the time of service.

Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
