Glen T. Mellon

Glen T. Mellon of Caro, formerly of Mayville, age 95, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro, following a lingering illness. Glen was born April 27, 1921 in Legrand, Michigan, the son of the late Lawrence and Loiedella (Sulfur) Mellon. Glen was a veteran and during World War II his plane was shot down. He survived, injured and was hidden, eventually to be returned to the United States. He and his brother lived with their mother in Mayville who have both preceded him in death. Glen was a time study engineer at the Mayville Molding Company. Left to cherish his memory are his caregivers from the Tuscola County Medical Care Community and his guardians. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor David Wilczynski officiating. Burial has taken place at the Rich Township Cemetery in Mayville.
