Glen Miracle

August 21, 1931 — March 25, 2025

Cass City

Glen Miracle of Cass City, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at his home, surrounded by family. He was born August 21, 1931 in Pineville, Kentucky, the son of the late Hillary and Hazel (Harris) Miracle. Glen worked as a fuel system engineer at Walbro Corporation for over twenty years. On November 4, 1949, he married the love of his life, the former Millie “Nan” Lee in Northville. Sadly, she preceded him in death just over two short years ago on March 22, 2023. Glen was a 32nd Degree Mason member of Mt. Moriah Lodge #226.

Glen loved to watch Gunsmoke and never forgot his native Kentucky roots. He loved fishing, golfing, and shooting guns. Whether working on a building project, tinkering in the garage, or trying his hand at carpentry, Glen was always busy and had a project on the go; he was a true “Jack of all trades.” An entrepreneur at heart, he had his hand in several businesses and rental properties during his working years and far into retirement. Above all else, Glen’s love for his wife and family was unmatched. His hard work, dedication, love, and even his occasional grumpiness will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In his caregiver, Darla’s words: “Today, the cornbread and milk is a little less sweet, the liver and onions won’t be served, the cricket bug is quiet in Dodge City, and the last outlaw has left the prairie. But there’s a lady dancing at your arrival with a smile! Til we meet again my friend, I’ll keep the nightlight on and the oven off!”

Glen leaves to cherish his memory, children, Glen “Mic” (Evelyn) Miracle of Florida, Wanda Santos of Cass City, and Gail Mellendorf of Cass City; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Vickie Martinez; sons-in-law, Joe Santos and Richard Martinez; great-granddaughter, Savannah Santos; and two brothers.

Glen’s funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 1:00pm at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon. Rev. Karen Bouverette will officiate, and burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Elkton. Visitation will begin at 11:00am on Tuesday and continue until the time of service.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Glen and Nan’s long-term caregiver and dear friend, Darla Pietrzak for her wonderful care and compassion she gave them over the years.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
