Glenda Jean Kimmel

Glenda Jean Kimmel of Caro, age 84, passed away on the morning of Friday, November 4, 2022. Glenda was born in Saginaw on May 7, 1938, the daughter of the late Arthur and Nora (Timberlake) Luscia. Glenda attended Saginaw High School and went on to work in various jobs, ending her career at The Caro Center, retiring as a supervisor. She married the love of her life, Dale Kimmel, on October 9, 1971. Their marriage was blessed with 39 years and many wonderful memories. Sadly, Dale passed October 29, 2010. Glenda was a member of the Caro Moose Lodge #1049 and attended Caro Assembly of God. She loved to play bingo, crochet, read, and sew. Glenda was an amazing seamstress, she even made her daughter's wedding dress. Above all else, she loved being a grandma, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the lights of her life. Glenda's loving, feisty, and caring soul will be missed by many. Glenda leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Caryl (Jim) Langmaid and William (Jenny) Sweatland; step-children, Scott (Patti) Kimmel and Kris (Kirk) Hanies; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; brother, Phillip Nigel; several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Glenda was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Nigel. A funeral ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Dave Dietzel officiating. Glenda's family will be present at the funeral home to receive visitors on Monday, November 7, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service.
