Gloria Ashley

Gloria C. Ashley, age 69, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw, following a brief illness. She was born on July 8, 1943 in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of the late John and Nellie (McClease) McKeon. Gloria was united in marriage with Charles T. Ashley on January 28, 1984 in Detroit, coming to Caro in October of 2005 and has lived here since. She enjoyed ceramics, painting, craftwork and selling of crafts at craft shows. She is survived by her husband, Charles; six sons, John Ruehle of St. Clair Shores, Donald Ruehle of Caro, Eric Ruehle of Chesterfield, Randy Ruehle of Caro, Charles & Kathy Ashley of Shelby Township, Christopher & Heather Ashley of Frasier; six grandchildren and one great-grandson; one sister, Ruby McGee of Kentucky. In keeping with Glorias wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Inurnment will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
