Gloria Ann Busch, 75, of Sand Point, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe of complications from a recent stroke.

Gloria was born in Harbor Beach on July 23, 1940 to the late Harold and Anna (Bukoski) Essenmacher. She attended country school and graduated from Our Lady of Lake Huron High School in 1958, then went on to Northeastern College of Commerce in Bay City, taking up accounting. She married Frederick J. Busch on September 18, 1965 in Bay City.

She worked as an accountant for the family printing business in Bay City before moving to Sand Point in 1991. She was a member of Scheurer Hospital Auxiliary, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and St. Roch. She was an award winning quilter and a member of the Thumb Area Quilters Guild and Quilt Bee.

She is survived by her husband Fred; daughter Barbara (Dave) Siegrist of Jackson; grandchildren Kennedy, Daniel, Janine, Karen and Hope; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Greg, brother Ronald Essenmacher and sister Lorraine Wehener.

A funeral mass will be at 11:00am Saturday, October 31st at St. Roch-OLPH Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lake Huron Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-8 Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and one hour prior to mass in church on Saturday. There will be a rosary at 7:00pm Friday.

Memorials may be made to Scheurer Hospital Auxiliary or St. Roch.
