Gordon Eli Ashcroft

Gordon Eli Ashcroft of Vassar, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw. Gordon was born January 16, 1943 in Marlette, the son of the late Eli and Vernitta (Reamer) Ashcroft. He was united in marriage with the former Judy Duncan on October 16, 1976, and she survives. Gordon was self-employed doing auto body work. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, playing poker and horseshoes, riding ATV's, and taking his wife and dog, Ginger, for golf cart rides. Gordon also enjoyed racing and working as security at Dixie Motor Speedway. Gordon is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years, Judy Ashcroft; two daughters, Tracy Thompson and her husband, Jack, and their children, Megan and Morgan Thompson, all of Sebewaing; Debra Love and her daughter, Kacie, of Davison; and one brother, Thomas Ashcroft of Caro. In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by one daughter; Terry Marie Ashcroft; and one grandson, Austin James Ashcroft. In keeping with Gordon's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
