Gordon Julius Krueger Jr

Gordon J. Krueger Jr, 78, of Caseville, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 at Tuscola County Medical Care in Caro.

Gordie was born January 30, 1946 in Detroit to the late Gordon and Shirley (Swanquist) Krueger.  In 1964 he graduated from Roseville High School and moved to Caseville where he worked for  his family’s businesses Krueger’s on the Bay Ice Cream and also Krueger Excavating.  He served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968 at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Gordie worked 19 years at Huron Memorial Hospital in Bad Axe as an orderly and then worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, retiring in 2008.  He enjoyed playing softball, riding dirt bikes, powerlifting, cross country skiing and swimming at the beach.

Gordie is survived by his wife Lee Ann; children Gordon Roy (Gina) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Kristin (Mark) Jordan of Charlotte, North Carolina, Matthew of Caseville and Samantha (Spencer) Kelly of Caseville; grandson Dean Radabaugh; sisters Diane Tennant of Muskegon and Susan (Ron) Badgerow of Pigeon.  He was preceded in death by his brother Gary and brother-in-law Phil Tennant.

A memorial service will be at Noon, Monday, November 18th at the Caseville Eagles Club with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
