Gordon Wright

Gordon R. Wright, age 88, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Clarkston Specialty Care Center in Clarkston, following a lingering illness. He was born December 13, 1922 in Pontiac, the son of the late Walter & Hazel (Rosencrantz) Wright. He was united in marriage with the former Lois Bailey on May 21, 1969 in Lapeer. Gordon was employed with Sharon Steel in Detroit for several years before his retirement in 1950 due to an accident causing his disability. Surviving Gordon is his wife of over forty-two years, Lois Wright of Cass City; two sons and their spouses, Gordon R. & Suzette Wright, Jr. of Marlette, James & Amy Wright of Kingston; six grandchildren; one brother, Carl Wright of Brown City and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by fifteen brothers and sisters.
